301 Bus is Back

For people in Eastlakes, Rosebery and Mascot, this really matters.

What used to be a simple trip to Eastgardens became long, difficult and, for some, just not possible.

From April 20, that changes.

A direct, reliable bus again — to shops, medical care and essential services.

This didn’t happen overnight. It took persistence, community support, and a government willing to rebuild local bus services after the previous privatisation decisions.

I’m grateful to the Chris Minns NSW Labor Government for backing this.

And I’m grateful to our community — you supported me in fighting for this every step of the way.

This is what steady work, together, can deliver.

What’s really happening with fuel in NSW

You may have seen reports of fuel shortages across NSW. Here’s the reality.
Right now, we are not seeing a shortage of fuel coming into Australia.
The issue right now is distribution—fuel is moving through the system unevenly, which is why some stations are temporarily short while others are being restocked.
With global tensions putting pressure on markets, we’re acting early to protect NSW households and businesses.
Right now, the NSW Labor Government is:

  • Working with the Commonwealth on measures including halving the fuel excise—cutting costs by 26.3 cents per litre
  • Monitoring supply in real time through a dedicated Fuel Emergency Operations Centre
  • Cracking down on price gouging with a statewide compliance blitz
  • Supporting a National Fuel Security Plan to improve transparency
  • We’re focused on keeping fuel moving where it’s needed most—and keeping prices as fair as possible.

You can check fuel availability and prices near you using the FuelCheck website or app or click here for updates.

As pressure builds on households, the best thing we can do is stay informed, avoid panic buying, and look out

for one another.
